Kitroot SaaS — Next Generation Intelligent SQL Server Observability Platform

Kitroot runs on production SQL Server estates in banking and other regulated sectors today, at under 2% agent overhead on the monitored host. This programme takes that engine multi-tenant and cloud-native, and puts an explainable “SQL Ops Copilot” between a database team and the answer — evaluated independently, and proven on real estates rather than benchmarks.

More about this project

Kitroot builds stream-first observability for SQL Server: telemetry captured continuously rather than sampled, at an overhead low enough to run on production systems that cannot afford to be slowed down. This programme develops that technology into a multi-tenant cloud platform for regulated European organisations, with an explainable “SQL Ops Copilot” that turns a question about a database into an answer a team can act on and an auditor can follow.

Banks, healthcare providers and public services run estates where slow triage and fragmented telemetry carry direct cost and compliance exposure. Kitroot runs at under 2% agent overhead on the monitored host, delivers near real-time telemetry, and produces audit-ready evidence — assurance material aligned with DORA and NIS2, and procurement through Azure Marketplace and partner channels.

The work is co-funded under the Research and Innovation Foundation's RESTART 2016-2020 SEED programme and runs to 2028. It is independently evaluated at each stage and validated on real production estates rather than in a laboratory — the same standard of evidence we ask our customers' auditors to apply to us.
